PATH OF PROGRESS

Infrastructure is the thesis.

The real estate story will be written by roads, bridges, utilities, ports, permits, insurance, and where the workforce actually moves—not by a headline alone.

MONITORING

LA 694 → LA 82 annual-program status + bid result

DOTD's October Highway Priority Program annual report labels H.016564—LA 694 from LA 335 to LA 82 in Vermilion Parish—Active. DOTD's October 21 bid results separately identify Glenn Lege Construction LLC as the apparent low bidder at $2,002,967.07. These are regional program and bid-result records, not proof of an executed contract, notice to proceed, mobilization, or field construction; DOTD does not identify SpaceX or Starbase Louisiana.

Next record to watch: Watch for a final award or executed-contract record, notice to proceed, construction notice, current traffic-control record, and any primary record explicitly identifying a Starbase Louisiana connection.

MONITORING

Louisiana Highway 82 + bridges

DOTD reported a $21,904,506.31 apparent low bid for Perry Bridge rehabilitation in February. Its October 8 update changes the scheduled start to October 14, 2026, with the weather-dependent closure end still May 31, 2027; older notice text retains October 12. This is a regional rehabilitation and travel record, not a Starbase-specific project or independent verification of field work. H.017115 remains absent from the current six-month letting list after its September 29 tentative date; disposition is unverified. October 21 parish minutes authorize a request for DOTD review of the LA 335/LA 14 intersection, not a committed project.

Next record to watch: Watch the current Perry Bridge closure conditions, H.017115's disposition, any award or notice to proceed, and any primary record explicitly linking a scope to Starbase Louisiana.
03
MONITORING

Utilities + transmission

LED's FAQ says new generation and transmission infrastructure will be needed and attributes future upgrade costs to SpaceX. Separately, LPSC's statewide R-37905 anticipated a November 4 final-rule filing. The November 5 morning portal remains Open with no documents visible; actual filing or adoption was not verified, and a blank portal does not rule out another publication channel. These records identify no Starbase utility request, load size, interconnection, agreement, route, approval, or construction project.

Next record to watch: Watch for a Starbase-named utility filing, interconnection request, service agreement, route study, Commission order, cost-allocation record, or construction notice.
04
ANNOUNCED

Port of Iberia tenant planning + supplier inquiries

The Port's October 30 announcement describes Coastal Drilling planning and attributed SpaceX supplier inquiries—not leases, contracts, awards or realized demand. CTAC's November 5 morning check, before the listed 2:00 p.m. deadline, verifies no later bid outcome. Separately, USACE's project page lists August 2026 draft EA/FONSI materials and a public notice; its November 2 notice withdraws the 2002 EIS NOI and anticipates EA #611/draft FONSI notice. The chronology requires reconciliation; no signed FONSI was verified. These separate Port processes do not establish Starbase approval, an award or construction start.

Next record to watch: Watch for current solicitation addenda and bid results; EA #611, draft and signed FONSI records; documented tenant agreements, awards, executed contracts and notices to proceed. Do not infer a common scope or Starbase relationship from separate Port records.

EXISTING ASSET

Acadiana Regional Airport + aviation capacity

Acadiana Regional Airport and related regional aviation development are separate assets. They should not be presented as confirmed Starbase work or a project contract unless a primary record says so.

Next record to watch: Watch for a named project relationship, executed agreement, public procurement record, or confirmed facility-use disclosure.

MONITORING

Heavy-haul + operating routes

A major industrial project may require route, bridge, safety, and operating reviews. Until a route is formally identified, this is a due-diligence question—not a claim of assigned heavy-haul traffic.

Next record to watch: Watch DOTD route studies, bridge-load restrictions, permitted movement notices, local agendas, and emergency-management records.

WORK COMPLETED · OCT. 8, 2026

DOTD reported completion of a drainage-pipe replacement on LA 694, 0.37 miles south of LA 335, after the October 7–8 temporary closure. This is a discrete, regional roadway-maintenance record—not a start of the separately reported H.016564 project.

HOW THIS DESK READS A SIGNAL

Four checks before an infrastructure claim.

Infrastructure can shift the real estate picture, but only the documented record should move the narrative. The site does not infer funding, project relationships, or property feasibility from proximity.

01

Status

Separate a study, funding action, design package, award, notice to proceed, closure, and completed work.

02

Record

Log the source agency, document title, public date, retrieval date, and direct link before interpreting the signal.

03

Location

Verify the named segment, bridge, parish, and route rather than generalizing a regional headline to a specific site.

04

Property impact

Assess access, delivery constraints, insurance, evacuation, and operating effects on a property-specific basis.
